The Kai-Shin Karate Association was founded in 1967, under the leadership of Sensei Monty Guest (8th Dan). Sensei Guest’s participation and contribution to Karate dates back to 1961 when he was the former Head Instructor for Tsuruoka Sensei (the father of Canadian Karate).
Kai-Shin Karate practices the Chito Ryu style of Karate, as taught by Chitose Sensei (10th Dan) and Tsuruoka Sensei (10th Dan).
The 'Chito Ryu' style is a 'traditional' Japanese system. It stresses moral character above all benefits.
